Affinity™ High Efficiency Central Air Conditioners

York’s Affinity™ series has added a new dimension to the HVAC category—style. The company’s 3S and 8T series 13 SEER and 15+ SEER Air Conditioners come standard in Champagne with a choice of six other exterior colors, including Terra Cotta, Jet Black, Stone, Bermuda, Chocolate, and Gun Metal, to complement consumers’ homes and landscaping.

Working with design firm Fitch: Worldwide, York designed its Affinity units to be “sleek and contemporary,” with a functional but decorative metal coil guard, along with a polymer mesh for the coil protection and to extend the life of the system.

According to York, the units’ steel cabinet is powder painted to withstand a rugged 1,000-plus hr salt spray test, and the new rustproof base pan is made out of an advanced composite material to provide durability and noise reduction.

The innovative scroll compressor technology in the York Affinity series is designed to offer energy-saving efficiency, reduced noise, and even comfort levels. Designed to outperform Our 8T model is engineered with the even higher performing Ultratech™ scroll compressor. The system features a two-stage design, enabling the compressor to operate at 67% part-load capacity for better efficiency and humidity control. Based on demand for high cooling needs, the system is activated to full capacity. The Ultratech compressor is 4x quieter and yields 60% greater energy efficiency, compared to a traditional compressor. You’ll hardly notice the system is there as it gives you years of dependable operation.
